The End of a Day/一天的尽头 (2023.04)
The End of a Day is a short feature film directed by Lipsky Zhou, a friend of mine who is also a talented photographer. This was the last time assisted in a film production during my whole college life, so as the last work that Lipsky produced for his college years.
In every ordinary day, we face many unknowns; at many points in our lives, we are filled with worries. We may long for recognition, for miracles to happen. Just as a singularity in the universe represents a point where the normal rules of space and time cease to apply, in our lives, there always seems to be a singularity—a point of immense possibility and mystery, challenging our understanding and expectations. It reminds us that amidst the routine and the familiar, there exists a chance for transformation and the emergence of the unexpected.
Perhaps, the singularity will be triggered when this sentence is realized—the sentence we say at the end of a day: "See you next time!"
